Convergent Alkaline Fuel x NEO Exchange

In collaboration with NEO Exchange, we worked on this commission piece to present as a gift for one of their newly listed clients, Alkaline Fuel.

Company Background: 

Fuel Cell Power is focused on the development, production, and ultimate commercialization of micro-combined heat and power systems based on alkaline fuel cell technology. Fuel Cell Power’s technology offers an energy source that generates zero CO2 emissions with pure water as the only by-product.

The composition of the artwork is inspired by the grid layouts found in graphic novels, telling the love story between two figures, H and O. Each figure starts off on opposite corners of the grid and navigates to come together in the middle surrounded by water. The narrative represents the process of hydrogen and oxygen within a fuel cell, as they come together and produce water as a by-product. The figures dance among the composition surrounded by water and foliage, symbolic of Alkaline fuel’s environmental focus. The colour palette utilizes clean and toned down colours, inspired by natural landscapes.

Convergent

Convergent plays on a simplified understanding of how an alkaline fuel cell works and abstracts it down to its key components - the coming together of hydrogen and oxygen to generate electricity. The composition of the artwork is inspired by the grid layouts found in graphic novels, telling the story of two figures, H and O, as they flow and converge towards each other.
