Cyclone 4M NEO x Maritime Launch Services
In collaboration with NEO Exchange, we worked on this commission piece to present as a gift for one of their newly listed clients, Maritime Launch Services.
Company Background:
Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Nova Scotia, Maritime Launch Services is Canada's first commercial rocket launch spaceport. With the very first launch scheduled for 2023, the company will launch satellites into Low-Earth Orbit, forging Canada’s increased leadership in the international aerospace community.
Cyclone 4M
Inspired by the natural landscapes found near Canso, Nova Scotia, the artwork features an illustrated flight path of MLS’s first launch vehicle, the Cyclone 4M (C4M). The C4M is showcased in the artwork passing through the cityscape and natural landscapes of nearby attractions to the Spaceport, such as the town of Canso and Peggy's Cove Lighthouse. As the sky changes colour in the composition as the C4M reaches higher into Earth's low orbit, the C4M reaches its place in the stars as a sentiment to MLS's innovation and ingenuity. This artwork is symbolic of the future of aerospace and celebrates Maritime Launch Services as Canada's first commercial orbital spaceport.
